She also helped commission a state-of-the-art brachytherapy suite from Nucletron, equipped for both high-dose and low-dose rate treatments, making the facility one of the most comprehensive in the country.
Dr. Kataria’s expertise lies in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), and 3D conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT). She has been instrumental in integrating imaging technologies like PET-CT, MRI, SPECT, and DSA for more accurate tumor targeting and personalized treatment planning.
Before her tenure at Medanta, Dr. Kataria was pivotal in establishing departments of radiation oncology at both Artemis Health Institute (2007) and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute (1996).
