Patient Experience
Had a knee replacement at Emsey last month. The surgeon, Dr. Aydın, explained everything in a way I could actually understand, no confusing jargon. The nursing team on the 4th floor was patient with my slow progress; one nurse even showed my wife the best way to help me get out of bed. The room was quiet, which helped me sleep. Follow-up calls from the physio department were a nice touch, felt like they were checking in, not just ticking a box.
As someone who schedules meetings back-to-back, efficiency is everything. My company's health check package at Emsey was a relief. I was in and out in under three hours for a full panel. The app made viewing results simple. What stood out was the phlebotomist, she was quick, got the vein first try, and the site didn't bruise at all. The cafeteria coffee was actually decent while I waited for my final consultation. It didn't feel like a day wasted.
Good hospital. Clean. Staff friendly. Had my gallbladder removed. Everything went fine. Would recommend.
We came from abroad for my mother's cardiac procedure. From the start, the international patient coordinator, Elif, handled all the visa letters and transfers. The admitting clerk noticed my mom was anxious and offered her a glass of water while we filled forms. Post-op, the ICU nurses wrote notes on a small whiteboard for her since she was intubated, which was incredibly reassuring. The billing was transparent, no surprise charges. The only hiccup was a minor delay in pharmacy discharge, but a nurse personally went to sort it. The overall coordination between departments was impressive.
